Arkley scoops Motor Yacht of the Year title at World Superyacht Awards

The 60m motor yacht Arkley by German yacht builder Lürssen has been honored with the ‘Motor Yacht of the Year Award’ at the World Superyacht Awards 2010 in London.

The yacht’s exteriors have been styled by Monaco-based superyacht designer Espen Oeino, with interiors designed by London-based Mark Berryman Design. The specious deck areas of Arkly features a range of toys such as jet skis, two SeaBob water scooters, a Laser sailing boat and two custom-built 7.5m tenders. The yacht features oak panels and marble floors with part of the oak in a wave pattern to enhance the aesthetic ambiance. The walls lining the side of the main staircase are made of leather panels. The handrail is covered in woven leather.
The award-winning motor yacht features six grand cabins, including a full beam owner’s suite and four guest suites designed to accommodate up to twelve guests. The yacht can also accommodate a professional crew of 14 members.
Each stateroom features individual Blue Ray/DVD/CD player; iPod dock and HD TV connectivity. A sun bed that can be transformed into a stage and a fully-equipped gym with Life fitness treadmill and Concept II rowing machine is another distinct aspect of Arkley.
The interior décor of Arkley is a blend of modern and classic style. The judges commended Arkley motor yacht for its powerful design, high performance and all-exclusive amenities. The yacht is built in full accordance with the rules of Lloyds Register and the MCA code of practice. Arkley is equipped with ample entertainment facilities including an integrated TV/AV system and thousands of films.
