Austin Straubel International Airport ramp to undergo renovation
Published: 27-Aug-2010
The phase 2 of an east general aviation ramp at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay, Wisconsin, will soon undergo a renovation.
The renovation project will include drafting plans for the expansion of general aviation services east of the terminal building. The new general aviation ramp will feature more space for general aviation aircraft to park, as well as give access to a fixed base operator on the airport.
The $80,000 renovation project is expected to be completed by October 2010 and is approved by Governor Jim Doyle. The Governor’s approval releases $64,000 in state funds for the project with Brown County contributing the remaining $16,000.
Austin Straubel International Airport is located southwest of the city of Green Bay. It is a primary service air carrier airport, with two concrete runways, 7,700 feet and 8,200 feet in length.
