The 100 bedroom hotel’s corridors and lift-lobbies have been fitted with 840 square meters of nylon carpet woven on Axminster Carpets’ Super Eight looms. The carpets are made out of 80% wool and 20% cotton, which provides a combination of design, durability and appearance retention.
The carpets feature a warm color palette in honey gold and cream along with a contrast of midnight blue, which has been added to the oak veneer in the public areas of the hotel. The hotel’s existing five tones of color have been further enhanced. Most important element in the carpet’s design is the creation of a broken barcode medium scale pattern that appears to turn 90 degrees.
The whole project was completed within the hotel’s budget.
