Colonel showcases new furniture collection at Maison & Objet 2013
Published: 28-Jan-2013
French label Colonel showcased its furniture collection inspired by camping at the 2013 edition of Maison & Objet design fair in Paris, France.
The entire furniture collection was divided into First and Second. Colonel's First collection is inspired by outdoor furniture. The collection mixes colours, rhythms and patterns, and is mainly composed of wood, textile materials and colours.
The collection evokes summer and relaxation. It includes Faces, a standing lamp with a diagonal fabric shade that tilts like an umbrella; and Caracas, new version of a '60s living-in tent chair that is available in yellow, pink or blue colours.
The Second collection of Colonel includes the Dowood light, Diabolo light, and Pondy table.
The Dowood lamp has a metal groundwork and a beech shadow painted with bright geometric forms. It is available as both ceiling light or a small or large table light. Dowood lamp is also available in seven colour sets.
The Diabolo light is available as a tripod, table or ceiling lamp and comprises of a steel border clothed with a gradient-printed fabric shadow in mint, azure and pink, or yellow and pink.
Inspired by camp furnishings, the beech Pondy table has turquoise cross rails and comes with a bench with yellow cross rails. It exhibits a raw and minimal look, where wood and metal interlock to create a harmonious whole.
