Columbus Yachts presents 40m Sport Hybrid superyacht
Italian superyacht builder Columbus Yachts in collaboration with Hot Lab yacht & design has presented the 40m superyacht Sport Hybrid, which incorporates sustainable design elements.
The layout has been developed to create a comfortable interior by using a combination of warm materials and soft colours. Marbles such as Breccia Sarda and Adria Venato are matched with eucalyptus, Tay wood and dark oak for interior floors.
Finished with brightly coloured leather and metal details with polished stainless steel, the interior creates a warm atmosphere. Adding a luxury element, it features soft wool carpets and precious fabrics, which complete the simple yet elegant feeling of the interiors.
A fully equipped bar is located at the entrance of the main deck. Moving forward there is a dining area to accommodate eight guests on comfortable compact armchairs by Moroso, which are placed around a custom-made table.
The lounge area features sofa and armchairs by Baxter, which are arranged around a large TV screen set in a sleek panel integrated into the ceiling. It features two large windows, which provides views as well as natural light inside the saloon. The yacht also features two large sliding glass doors and opening bulwarks.
Further forward there is a fully equipped galley on the port side and a lobby on the right. The main deck also houses the master suite featuring two large windows to provide natural light and scenic views to the guests.
The cabin bulwarks, floors and ceiling are paneled in wood to create a warm and cozy environment. The master bathroom is equipped with two well-designed ‘his and her’ marble sinks on each side and a large shower with glass walls.
Complementing the colours of the sea, light colours are used throughout the yacht. The upper deck features two huge sofas which are more than 140cm deep, chosen from the Diesel collection by Moroso.
Taking care of the green theme of the yacht, all the woods selected for the project are FSC-certified to ensure eco-sustainability while the leather, a byproduct of the meat industry, is treated with a special non-toxic water painting process.
