Doubletree expands in Mexico

US-based hospitality group Hilton Worldwide has signed a multi-year management agreement with Consorcio Hotelero S.A de C.V in Mexico for a Doubletree by Hilton full-service hotel.
The new Doubletree by Hilton is situated close to the Merida International Airport and would feature 100 guestrooms and suites, with 3,000 square feet of meeting space, a full-service restaurant, bar, fitness center, and pool.
The opening of this hotel is another step in the brand’s growth in Latin America and the Caribbean. Further development plans include facilities in Mexico and Panama, along with 225 additional hotels across the globe.
Construction of the Doubletree by Hilton, Merida is scheduled for March 2010 with expected completed in March 2011.
