Developed by SJP Properties, the 40-storey office and retail tower at 640 Eighth Ave. in New York, is incorporated with sustainable features such as an advanced air filtration system, highly efficient glass curtain wall exterior, and a system to collect and recycle rainwater. The latest technologies in air intake monitoring and filtration, and use of eco-sensitive construction materials are some other ‘green’ elements.
One of the distinctive features of the tower is a spectacular glass lobby entrance off 41st Street. The offices feature a minimum of 9ft 6-inches floor-to-ceiling glass offering unobstructed views of the Hudson River, Times Square and Midtown Manhattan. Prominent exterior building signage 600ft above Times Square and extensive roof terracing on several floors are some other unique features.
Eleven Times Square also include 55,000 square feet of retail space on three levels and 13,000 square feet of retail signage along 42nd Street and the corner of Eighth Avenue. In May of 2010, international law firm Proskauer Rose, LLP leased over 400,000 square feet of office space.
The tower was constructed in 2010. The largest tenant, Proskauer Rose LLP, occupies more then 400,000 square feet in the building.
