The yacht was launched by the Feadship Koninklijke De Vries shipyard. The motor yacht designed by Feadship’s De Voogt Naval Architects is 87.78 metres long and incorporates a full displacement steel hull. It is topped with an aluminium superstructure and powered by four 3,650 horsepower (or 2,721 kilowatt) MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines generating a total power potential of 14,600 horsepower/10,887 kilowatts.
The superyacht is the largest private yacht constructed by Feadship along with another 88 metre XL called Musashi. Further finishing and outfitting work on the yacht will be carried out before its delivery to the new owner in 2011 end. The interior of the yacht is being designed by Sinot Yacht Design. The name of the yacht is inspired from the novel of the same name written by Ayn Rand.
