Fuller Theological Seminary in California unveils $28.5 million library

Published: 25-May-2009

Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, inaugurated the $28.5 million David Allan Hubbard Library on May 18, 2009, a new addition to the former library.

The new Hubbard Library is a brand-new facility at the southwest corner of Fuller’s Pasadena campus, designed by Virginia-based William McDonough and Partners.

The new facility adds 47,000 square feet to the former McAlister Library’s 38,000 square feet, increasing the facility’s capacity to 1.4 million items and tripling its previous holdings' potential. The former library has also undergone an extensive renovation.

The new library features double the floor space and triple the room for books and has been acclaimed as a major improvement for the multi-denominational graduate school and seminary in Pasadena.

The new library is made attractive with outdoor balconies, comfortable furniture and well-equipped computer labs.

Fuller Theological Seminary, founded in 1947, is the largest multi-denominational seminary in the world.
