Greenwich fabric collection from Bene

Published: 15-Feb-2013

Germany-based Bene has introduced an exclusive Greenwich fabric collection that is designed to bring colour and patterns into the workplace.

The new fabric collection gives office designers additional creative options. Developed by the British designer duo PearsonLloyd, and produced exclusively by the Danish manufacturer Kvadrat, Greenwich sets invigorating accents in office landscapes.

The large-format, organic pattern of Jacquard weave was inspired by the network of walking paths in Greenwich Park in London. The designers transformed sections of the lines of the park’s paths into an abstract pattern that repeats itself across the large surfaces. This network of paths with its different corners, curves, intersections and spaces reminds one of “desire lines”, which pedestrians create by frequently crossing over undeveloped areas.

The new Greenwich fabric collection would be used in two furniture lines that were also designed by PearsonLloyd: Docklands and Parcs. The curves and lines of the discreet pattern lead one across the office furniture. The fabric infuses the furniture with even more character, originality and colourful highlights.
