Hyatt opens Park Hyatt Busan in South Korea
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Park Hyatt Busan in Busan, South Korea, which is designed by Daniel Libeskind.
Embodying the ocean waves in Busan, the Park Hyatt Busan with a curved shape espouses the brand’s deep rooted reputation for sophisticated style, outstanding service and accommodations, and superior facilities.
Representing the ocean wave at Haeundae Beach as well as the Camellia, a symbolic flower of Busan, the exterior of the hotel exhibits a magnificent view. The interior designed by the Japanese design firm Super Potato has been decorated with nature-friendly materials, such as hardwood and natural stone to provide residential comfort complementing the modern aesthetic.
Sitting adjacent to the world’s largest shopping mall, Shinsegae Centum City, the new Park Hyatt leverages its central location among Busan’s premium commercial area. The hotel is a 39-storied building, of which 33 are above ground and six floors below ground level. The building has a curvilinear geometry and a glass façade.
The hotel’s portfolio comprises 269 rooms and suites, featuring natural elements of French oak flooring, Granite stone bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Park Hyatt Busan offers various dining and entertainment options located on the 32nd floor of the hotel such as The Dining room featuring an open kitchen and sushi bar; The casual Living room restaurant; and the Lounge and Patisserie, located at the entrance of hotel to provide a unique dining experience to the guests.
Occupying a total of three floors, the hotel includes Lumi Spa & Fitness featuring seven private treatment rooms, a fitness centre, sauna, steam room and plunge pools and 65 feet wide granite stone indoor swimming pool with views of the ocean.
The meeting and event space of the hotel have been developed and designed to offer optimal facilities for all conferences, including audio and video systems capabilities. Each ballroom has 15 feet high ceilings to allow natural light. Located on the 33rd floor of the hotel is the Drawing Room, which is said to be the first-ever multi-event facility in a residential style event space in Busan.
