INTERIORS UK returns to Birmingham
INTERIORS UK 2013, taking place from 20-23 January at NEC Birmingham, is set to be bigger and better than ever before, offering retailers, designers and architects a vast selection of products from over 600 of the leading international interiors manufacturers. There is still time to register for free entry to this essential business event.
Modern retailing is this year’s overarching theme with many beautiful retailer display areas curated by a mix of designers throughout the show and main entrances. UBM are thrilled to announce that this year’s guest designer is interiors legend, Nina Campbell who will be creating the entrances as well as hosting a feature space in Hall 3. “Nina is thrilled to be designing the entrances at the INTERIORS UK show in January. The individual halls will be defined by one of Nina’s loves; colour. Expect a marriage of traditional, well-loved and opulent designs with a new, fresh and contemporary colour palette.”
The show will see the return of designersblock who will be using their creative talent to create a totally new store concept, brand and identity – the designersblock department store. This giant feature will include a concoction of departments featuring furniture, accessories, toys, lighting and lots more, all sourced from designersblock’s vast network of young designers and design makers. The area will also house the regular features of the show such as New Design Britain, Birmingham City University, INTERIORS UK’s Seminar Theatre, the VIP contract lounge and press office.
INTERIORS UK are renowned for orchestrating informative, thought-provoking seminars and talks during the show and 2013 will be no exception. The line-up is set to explore the future of retail with talks from the likes of Nayna Macintosh (Marks & Spencer’s Director of Store Design), Jonathan Webb (Retail in Action), Stylus, Mark Hughes-Webb (Brandhub), Nic Cumisky (Google), Callum Lumsden (Lumsden Design), Melinda Ashton Turner (Stylist – talking about visual merchandising), Naomi Cleaver and Nina Campbell.
