Light project at Loudoun Valley High School's sports facilities approved

Published: 20-Mar-2013

The Purcellville Town Council in Virginia has approved lighting for a relocated softball field and a new baseball field at Loudoun Valley High School (LVHS), as part of a $26 million renovation.

As part of the renovation, the softball field will be equipped with 18 luminaire fixtures mounted on seven 70-foot-high poles. The baseball field will get 40 lights on nine poles, with four of them measuring 80 feet in height and five of them standing 70 feet tall.

As part of the new field set-up, the softball field will be built on the site of the current tennis courts at the northern end of the property, while the new tennis courts will be built behind the school.

Restrooms will also be relocated, while the football concession will remain at the same place.

The project will begin shortly and is expected to complete by the fall of 2015.
