Work on the field house will start in the end of March 2010. The Park will be completed in three phases, beginning with construction of the field house in March 2010. Construction of the field house will include a concession, washrooms and change rooms.
Phase two will include field lighting; bleachers and score clock. Phase three includes installation of a field turf and rubber running track which will begin in November 2010.
The project has closed in on the $2-million mark on the path to raise $3-million for the facility. MEGlobal Canada was announced as the facility's signature sponsor.
Once completed, the park will facilitate user groups in minor football, soccer, rugby and track and field. It is expected to be ready by 2011.
