The terminal at Monterrey International Airport spans a total area of 21,000 square metre across two levels and a mezzanine. The terminal is designed to serve approximately two million passengers per year, on both domestic and international flights. OMA started operations at its new terminal on 1 September 2010.

The building is incorporated with innovative design features to provide passengers easy and rapid access to all facilities, from the parking area to the boarding lounge. A commercial area spread over 2,100 square metre is also featured at the facility, encompassing a wide range of shops and restaurants. Other services such as a children's play area and business centre are also featured.

In addition to the terminal building, the project included a platform with 13 aircraft positions - six contact positions with boarding through passenger jetways, four remote positions, and three positions for regional aircraft; taxiways; parking for 594 vehicles with automated access and payment systems; and access roads. Total investment by Monterrey Airport on the entire complex amounts to approximately MXN800 million ($60.9 million).

Terminal B is the only terminal in Mexico and Latin America to have two-way aircraft taxiways, providing greater liveliness for airline operations and facilitating greater connectivity.
