NCC wins contract for new office project in Norway

Published: 28-Feb-2013

NCC AB, a Swedish construction company, has secured a contract from Entra Eindom to construct a SEK370 million ($57.1762 million) office building in Oslo, Norway.

The project involves development of a 15,300 square meters building, which will accommodate a 4,200 square meters of parking garage. The building will have eight stories and two basement floors.

NCC plans to employ VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) technique to undertake detailed designing of the project. The method will allow creation of 3D objects before they actually become a reality.

The new office will incorporate a host of sustainable elements, which will enable it to earn BREEAM Excellent level of environmental certification, as well as a Class B energy classification.

Upon completion, the new office will serve as the European head office for the Canadian company Alimentation Couch Trade.

The construction of the project will be undertaken by NCC’s subsidiary NCC Construction Norway and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2015.
