Oceanco launches 86m yacht
Published: 02-Sep-2010
Dutch yacht builder Oceanco has launched 86m yacht with hull number Y706, designed by Italian yacht design firm Nuvolari & Lenard.
The new Y706 features a swimming pool on the aft deck that can be transformed into a helipad, which is a signature element of Oceanco yachts.
Both the interior and exterior spaces are designed by Nuvolari & Lenard. The interiors are adorned with walnut, teak and rosewood combined with a range of natural materials, fabrics and colours.
The yacht is designed to lodge 12 guests in spacious accommodations, including a private owner's deck with a large separate master stateroom with study and a private deck area with pool. A VIP suite with his and her bathrooms, two double VIP suites, one twin VIP cabin and two double guest cabins are other accommodations.
The main salon of the yacht is equipped with the very latest in entertainment electronics complete with a 5m by 2m Panavision movie format screen. An 80-inch television set is featured, which folds out from the deck-head on the aft main deck and can be converted into an open air cinema, when required.
The new yacht is engineered to reach maximum speed of 20 knots powered by two 4,680hp / 3,492 kW MTU engines.
The yacht was launched on 27 August 2010, and sea trial preparations and final fit-out are on track for a successful delivery before late 2010.
