Plaza Premium to build six new lounges in Malaysian airports

Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited, a Hong Kong-based operator of airport lounge services, plans to open six new airport lounges at Malaysian airports.

The new lounges will come up at Kota Kinabalu, Penang and Kuching airports of Malaysia. The lounges will be built within the domestic and international departure halls of airports. Each new lounge will vary in area in the range of 2,000 square feet to 2,500 square feet.

The development of lounges will entail a capital outlay of MYR1.2 million ($390,940) to MRY1.5 million ($488,680). In total, the company plans spending MYR10 million ($3.2 million) on the project. The new lounges are scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2013.

The Plaza Premium Lounges are available to first-class passengers as well as others who need it before embarking on the plane. The Plaza Premium Lounges are noted for their five-star like amenities, such as comfortable sofa, marble flooring, special room and round-the-clock selection of food offerings.
