Published: 24-Feb-2012

Chilean graphic designer Rodrigo Alonso Schramm has created the new N + EW light.

The name of the light refers to No More Electronic Waste. It incorporates a bulk shape and is produced from reclaimed e-waste which includes a recycled iron mold. The look is complemented by the base of the luminaire which is formed of recycled smelted aluminium. The aluminium for the base us procured from various sources like beer and drink tins.

Use of various materials in production makes the luminaire incorporate a variety of tones. The item possesses dimensions of 12.6 x 12.6 inches. The raw materials used in creating the piece have been donated by a local recycling firm named Recycla.
