Starwood opens first Le Méridien brand hotel in Atlanta

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened its first Le Méridien brand hotel named ‘Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter’ in the Atlanta metropolitan area, following a comprehensive, one-year, $20 million renovation.

The hotel features 275 spacious guest rooms and suites along with an outdoor pool, fitness centre, spacious 12th floor club lounge, 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a sleek new lounge named Longitude 84, and the hotel’s ground-floor restaurant Portico, slated to open this spring, which also offers a spacious terrace suitable for private gatherings and special events.
An inspiring design has been featured throughout the spacious guest rooms and public areas, the newly created club lounge and the addition of a new restaurant with an expansive patio complete the transformation of this property.
The hotel features Le Méridien Hub that offers guests and locals a creative atmosphere where contemporary, curated artwork sets the environment. Le Méridien arrival consists of four elements: large-scale artwork in high impact areas to reset the mind and stimulate dialogue and curiosity; the sensory experience, illustrated through Le Méridien signature scent, sound and use of light, creating a unique and distinctive atmosphere; UNLOCK ART programme, featuring LM100 artist designed key card collections that not only offer access to the guestroom but also to Le Méridien affiliated contemporary cultural centres in the city; and a 24-hour soundtrack curated by Jérôme Sans.
Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter is one of nine new Le Méridien brand hotels scheduled to open over the next one year. Located in the Perimeter Center business district, the hotel is owned by RockBridge Capital and managed by Wischermann Partners.
