Sunseeker to launch 40m superyacht at Southampton Boat Show in UK
Published: 01-Sep-2010
UK-based ship builder Sunseeker International will debut a 40m flagship superyacht at 2010 PSP Southampton Boat Show, which will be held from 10-19 September 2010 in the UK.
The new 40m flagship superyacht has been integrated with the best elements of the Sunseeker’s previous 37m vessel, along with spacious exterior deck space and balconies. One of the most distinct elements of the yacht is the increased rake of stern and a sharp, ocean-going bow, giving it a sleek and streamlined profile, when compared to the current 37m superyacht.
The main deck cockpit is also considerably larger with an extended aft deck. This is intended to allow for a number of customised layouts to suit each client’s requirements.
The guest cabins of the lower deck of the new yacht features large, panoramic port-lights. This unique element will transform the side profile of the vessel, allowing the lower deck guest cabins to be flooded with natural light. All the three decks are equipped with the option of balconies on either side of the main deck saloon and on one side of the master stateroom. This opens up the room to the generous seascapes bathing the space with more natural light.
An extended wheelhouse deck layout in the yacht provides greater flexibility. An additional upper deck stateroom allows all four crew cabins to be accommodated on the lower deck. The highly customised layout of skyjack maximises space, providing a mixture of formal and informal seating. The main deck saloon features an elliptical-shaped bar positioned aft to serve both the saloon and main aft deck cockpit.
Some of the latest hi-tech products, including an integrated touch-screen-controlled lighting system and state-of-the-art audio visual system will be installed on the main and upper decks.
The yacht will be displayed at marina berth M540 during the Southampton Boat Show.
