Tampa Airport Marriott hotel completes facelift
Published: 08-Feb-2012
The Tampa Airport Marriott hotel inside the Tampa International Airport in Florida, US has completed a $9 million makeover.
All the 298 guest rooms of the hotel including its three suites have now been equipped with new upholstery, bedding, accents, carpeting, walls, triple-pane glass windows, refinished doors, and various organic elements. A fresh green colour scheme serves as the predominant tone in all the revamped rooms. The look is complemented by the carpet and accents donning shades of rich chocolate brown, dark burgundy wine upholstery, and deep pattern textured ottomans.
Every guestroom now also incorporates new soft goods such as mattresses, box springs, bedding and drapery, 37” high-definition LCD TVs, upgraded lighting fixtures, and new photographic wall artwork. The washrooms have also undergone an overhaul and have been fitted with glass shelving and vanity storage units. The remodelled 191 king-bedrooms of the building comprise a new sleeper-sofa in the rooms. Their bathrooms now comprise a walk-in shower featuring frameless doors.
The Concierge Lounge of the facility imbibes new carpeting, lighting systems, wallpaper, accents, and furniture pieces following the facelift. The entire space now offers ample facilities for connectivity. The upgraded lounge consists of comfortable family room-style chairs and sofas, a communal table with a maximum seat capacity of six, and a bar-style seating area along the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the runway. The lounge also features a computer station and printer post overhaul.
In addition, the corridors of the hotel have received a makeover as part of the project. The renovated corridors have been adorned in new carpet, lighting and signage.
