The Montpellier Chapter has undergone a vibrant transformation into a design-led, sophisticated hotel. It currently features new, bespoke upholstered seating throughout its bistro, gathering rooms, and flower bedroom, supplied by Lyndon Design; one of the premier British manufacturers of handcrafted upholstered furnishings.
Specified by Make Architects, Lyndon Design’s bespoke upholstered seating features two distinct styles to suit the diverse areas at The Montpellier Chapter. Fusing classic period architecture with contemporary design, they have conceived an instant style and character to support the splendour of the hotel’s Victorian origins.
The up-to-date, stylish restaurant and newly constructed garden room features over 50 of Lyndon Design’s classic dining chairs that are conceived from carefully chosen natural walnut timber and are finished with a natural lacquer. Blended with Milano Mink Crest cowhide in the dark, this bespoke variety presents the ultimate in comfort and echoes the elegance of the hotel.
Lyndon Design’s classic dining seating with large soft elbow rests are also included in the hotel’s gathering rooms, the biggest of which can sit 16 visitors. In keeping with the hotel’s interior design style, these chairs incorporate solid walnut wood into a framed building and are finished in the identical Milano Mink Crest Leather in brown.
Part of the luxury hotel group, Swire Hotels, The Montpellier Chapter is the first of a new brand of the UK hotels. Blending the old Victorian building with a new extension to create a subtle mix of old and new, The Montpellier Chapter offers character and history in a cosmopolitan flair.
