The 12th Venice Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy, will begin on 29 August 2010, which will see participation by four dozen exhibitors including architects, engineers, artists and studios.

The 12th edition of the show, with the theme ‘People Meet in Architecture’, will also witness participation by newcomer countries such as Albania, Bahrain, Malaysia, Morocco and Rwanda.
The pavilions of the biennale will run until 21 November 2010, stretching over Venice's Arsenal and Giardini areas in the east of the lagoon city.
After a series of editions of the Architecture Biennale directed by eminent critics and historians, the 2010 edition is directed by Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima, who is the biennale's first woman director. The architect co-owned the Pritzker Architecture Prize 2010, which is considered as the ‘Nobel prize for architecture’.
Besides addressing the academic side of architecture, the biennale is an occasion where big-name architects and designers can showcase new projects, arranged in different pavilions, each with different themes.
