Designed with modern equipments, the new fitness centre features 25m pool, including automatic lift into the water and moveable floor in main pool; Teaching pool; Viewing gallery in pool hall; 65-station gym, including accessible equipment; Four badminton court sports hall; Large group exercise studio/Community Room; and Spinning Studio. Besides that, the Waddon Leisure Centre also features a café and a crèche for the convenience and relaxation of the users.
Open days for the fitness centre will be held on 25 and 26 January 2013 for Waddon residents. It will be fully open to the public from 30 January. The centre would be Croydon’s sixth leisure centre.
Located on the Fiveways junction on Purley Way, the new Waddon Leisure Centre was developed as part of the Conservative Council's drive to improve leisure facilities for Croydon residents.
