Walmart unveils new store design at Vivian in Louisiana

US-based Walmart will reopen its store at Vivian in Louisiana on July 30, 2010, unveiling a new store design after a three-month remodeling project.
Located at 929 S. Pine St., the new Walmart store features a new layout, wider aisles, low-profile shelving, bright interior paint scheme, enhanced lighting and easy-to-read signage to make the shopping experience more convenient for customers.
The wider aisles with no product displays at the remodeled Vivian store creates more open shopping environment for customers. The store has aligned the departments that customers shop most frequently, making it quicker to purchase everyday items. The store’s merchandise areas have been boldly defined through a bright interior paint scheme and enhanced lighting. Low-profile shelving creates an improved sightline and directional signage helps customers to find the products they need.
The remodeling has also led to an expanded electronics department featuring a wide selection of the latest consumer electronics and home entertainment. The new design includes a more personalized experience for customers with interactive displays for hi-definition Blu-ray, video gaming and portable electronics. A new department called ‘Celebration Station’ has been added at the store that will feature party supplies, greeting cards, balloons, helium tanks, cake supplies and gift wraps.
